September 19 - 25 is "Adopt a Less Adoptable Pet Week," kind of a depressing name because these animals are all seriously adoptable. How do I know? I know because Michael Vick's "un-adoptable" dogs have become not only wonderful pets but pillars of the community (read about it @pawnation.com), I'm a lover of black dogs & cats (read about "Black Dog Syndrome" @pawcurious.com) AND I know the greatest cat ever - Indie.
That's him in a box, ready for the big move to his new house this summer.
Indie is my friend Frankie's kitty and he's wonderful. We often joke about him being a clearance kitty, but seriously he is special. No one wanted poor Indie. When Frankie walked in they must've just known that it was a perfect match because they gave Indie away for free. So why did no one want to adopt this amazing kitty? Not only was Indie black he was already a grown up, and he isn't "perfect." Apparently no one believed that a cross-eyed, loud breather could be so amazing. But everyone who knows him loves him because he is incredible. Not only does he love to cuddle people, he loves to play with dogs! He and Astrea get along great and I fully believe that Indie was one of Sancho's best friends.
